Join Us In This Critical Moment to Support Palestinian Food Sovereignty

Since March 2024, Sonrisas has been working directly with a cooperative of 25 farmers in North Gaza to support their farming, access to water and bring much needed food to thousands of people in the shelters. Gaza’s Green Arms was a cooperative was founded by agricultural engineer, Yousef Abu Rabee, who was martyred in October 2024 after being targeted for his courageous work of breaking the siege of famine on North Gaza. His project last year “With God’s Help We Will Replant It” distributed seedlings, technical help, water access and other farming support to these 25 families to ensure they could grow food for thousands when no food was being allowed into Gaza.

The Abu Rabee family continues his legacy and to farm the land as their family has for generations.

These donations go towards seed purchases, gas for machinery when planting, distribution costs, water access and other materials. Please see below for more information regarding what we have been able to accomplish and support. 100% of the donations received for this program go directly to this initiative. The support to make this happen is all volunteer.
